How to Join an Online Session

If you are unable to log in and it is your first time joining an online session, we recommend trying different browsers. Sometimes technical difficulties are related to default browser settings. 

If you able to join your online session but your computer is using the wrong camera or the microphone/camera are automatically off: 

  1. Look for a blinking camera icon in the address bar. Your browser may or may not have this feature.
  2. Click on the blinking camera icon in the address bar. A small window will drop down. 
  3. On the small window, under "Permissions," click X to stop the camera or microphone. 
  4. Reload the page. A small window will drop down. 
  5. On the small window, choose the camera and microphone using the drop-down menus. 

The above steps work with Firefox browsers, so it’s useful to have more than one browser on your computer.

To clear settings on any browser, you can change permissions or delete cookies from the browser cache. These are usually accessible through the top menu bar of your browser: Tools > Options. NOTE: Depending on what you clear or reset, you may clear ALL your log-ins (usernames, passwords), forms, and website preferences, so consider this option carefully.
