Style Guides


 

MLA style is currently in its 9th edition. The MLA Style Center website includes resources on using MLA format; citing sources; sample papers formatted according to MLA style; and an interactive citation practice template.

APA Style is currently in its 7th edition, and the Ohio State Univeristy Libraries offers resources on citing according to APA style. Writers can find additional resources on APA Style's website, including information on formatting papers; in-text citations; reference pages; and several instructional aids on using APA style in handout and video form.

The Chicago Manual of Style is currently in its 17th edition, and OSU's University Libraries offers resources on both Chicago's Author-Date Style and Chicago's Notes-Bibliography Style. The Chicago Manual website includes several resources and video tutorial to familiarize writers with this style.
