“Multimedia Oral Reflections”

The Ohio State University, Campus Computer Lab

FREE to students who will be juniors or seniors in the next school year and to graduating seniors.

During the week-long camp, students will write essays based on a personal reflection about a specific person or a current or historical event and present 3- to 5-minute multimedia speeches on their work. Completed essays will be submitted to several newspapers for publication. Students will learn about writing, the research and peer review processes, critical thinking about a variety of topics, and perfect integration of text, visual, and audio technologies (Audacity and PowerPoint). Students will also see the exhibits during a tour of the OSU Frank W. Hale, Jr. Black Cultural Center and hear a presentation by Director Larry Williamson.

Make your application online (will open a new page off of the CSTW Web site) or print the document to fill out. [PDF]

Writing Camp participants will be selected from those who apply by April 30. If you are offered a place in the Writing Camp, CSTW will contact you by May 15, at which time you must commit to attend.
