Making Writing "Pop": Using Popular Culture to Teach Writing

The Ohio State University's Center for the Study and Teaching of Writing (CSTW) presents this hands-on seminar that explores how middle school and high school teachers can engage students' familiarity with popular culture in writing instruction. We will also discuss and develop ways in which various technologies can be used to design creative assignments in multi-modal composition.

Facilitated by Dr. Valerie Kinloch of OSU's Department of Education

Participants will receive an $80 stipend.

When: Saturday, December 1st from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Lunch provided.
