The Center for the Study and Teaching of Writing (CSTW) hires exceptional undergraduate students to work in a variety of capacities. Please see the postings below for 2009-2010, beginning autumn quarter 2009. Applications are due Friday, May 22, 2009. You must submit your cover letter and resume via this form. Writing Center Consultants
(10-15 hours/week)
Consultants work one-on-one with students, staff, and faculty from all disciplines on a variety of writing issues in order to help individual writers grow, not just to improve specific pieces of writing. Consultants work with writers on a variety of texts, including research papers, lab reports, dissertations, administrative documents, proposals, resumes and other application materials, and articles or book manuscripts. Consultants also participate in and contribute to weekly staff meetings and work on a range of Writing Center projects such as developing workshops and seminars on writing, creating online and print resources, and working on research projects related to writing centers. Qualifications: Successful completion of Hum Col 694 (Writing Centers) or English 467.
