While doing so, consultants gain practical experience in teacher training and pedagogy with various departments across the university.

Writing-Across-the-Curriculum consultants work one-on-one with Ohio State instructors who wish to strengthen their teaching of writing and the use of writing in their courses. WAC consultants also advise departmental coordinators who are responsible for training instructors about teaching writing. Consultants develop print, web-based, and other materials for instructors and students, design and facilitate workshops for faculty, staff, and GTAs, and collaborate with other university centers interested in writing instruction. Consultants also have opportunities to conduct research at WAC, joining the scholarly conversations in the field. Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications: Graduate student with two years of experience in teaching writing and familiarity with scholarship on writing pedagogy and WAC (see http://wac.colostate.edu/index.cfm for references). Experience working in a WAC program preferred.
